Stormy Day is at it again, this time with her hometown of Misty Falls, Oregon feeling like classic New Orleans. When a voodoo psychic is murdered, Stormy takes it upon herself to investigate the case with the help of her hunky tenant Logan Sanderson and her retired police officer father Finnegan. Throughout the journey we meet a myriad of colourful characters, some of who we were first introduced to in the first book of the series.

Can we also just take a moment to appreciate the genius of Stormy’s cat Jeffrey Blue? The mischievous little kitten brings a vibrancy to the books that other authors so desperately try to capture through complicated manners. The simplicity of this feline character adds a realness to the series that cannot be duplicated.

Without giving anything away, Stormy becomes entangled in an ever-tangling web of deceit throughout the entirety of this delightful read.

Get your hands on this amazing series and let yourself take the journey to the craziness of Misty Falls, Oregon.
