Some Enchanted Eclair Review

Author: Bailey Cates

Year of Release: 2014

Genre: Foodie/Magic Mystery

Pages: 336

Let’s start with the obvious, this is not a book that uses outlandish magic to make the mystery entertaining. Instead it explores the concept that our main character, Katie Lightfoot, can attract crimes that she herself can solve through careful observation of both humans and evidence alike.

Set in Savannah, Georgia the book places a great emphasis on using the setting to make unique dishes that you genuinely want to grab out of the book to eat. Dealing with actors is often a person’s dream come true, but the book embodies the idea of both the heroes and villains being as much onscreen as off-screen.

So grab a Georgia peach and settle in for a weekend of enjoyable characters and entrancing mystery.
